Welcome to Osborn Island!
Nestled within the Great Bay’s pristine marine wetlands, Osborn Island is a coastal gem in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Our community offers unparalleled access to boating, fishing, and swimming, all while being surrounded by preserved maritime forests and saltwater marshes.
The Osborn Island Residents Association (OIRA) is a 501(c)(7) nonprofit dedicated to being the "one voice" for our 500+ households. Since 1989, we’ve worked to keep our neighborhood active, safe, and vibrant. For just $35 a year (or a nominal fee), your voluntary membership supports the volunteer efforts that preserve our unique natural environment and advocate for our residents.
Mission Statement
OIRA’s mission is to preserve and enhance the natural beauty, safety, and quality of life on Osborn Island by promoting environmental stewardship, fostering community engagement, and representing resident interests to local and regional authorities. We support conservation of wetlands and maritime forests, organize community events, and coordinate volunteer-led initiatives that maintain the character and well-being of our neighborhood.
